FAQ v. 0.5a2, last updated 2004-02-28 This document contains frequently asked questions and answers regarding "monaural jerk", an open-source weblog/journal/diary/news/commentary system built on PHP4/Zend/MySQL. Copyright (c) 2004 matthew mcglynn --------------------------------------------------- WHAT IS MONAURAL JERK? This is a free, open-source weblog or journal system created in PHP4 and MySQL. WHAT DOES THE NAME MEAN? A "monaural jerk," strictly speaking, is a spasm that can be discerned with only one ear. Also it's an anagram for "journal maker," the original (and, I maintain, much less interesting) name of this package. It's basically blog software, but I really dislike the sound of the word, so I tend not to use it except when I need Google to index it. WHAT IS THE LATEST VERSION? See http://www.debris.com/journal/colophon for news. See http://monauraljerk.org/ for code. WHERE CAN I GET TECHNICAL SUPPORT? Subscribe to the Monaural Jerk mailing list: send a blank email to helplist-subscribe (at) monauraljerk (dot) org For your protection, this list employs a double opt-in mechanism. You'll have to respond to a confirmation- request email generated by my list server, to actually join the list. Note that only subscribers can post to the list. This should help prevent spam. WHERE CAN I REPORT BUGS? Bug reports (and patches, hint, hint) can be sent to bugs (at) monauraljerk (dot) org --------------------------------------------------- The most recent version of this document can probably be found at http://monauraljerk.org/FAQ
